Arsenal are open to loaning out a bit-part star West Ham want as a new report makes a big Reiss Nelson claim.

Lines of communication are already established between West Ham and Arsenal after Declan Rice’s £105m move in the summer.

And it seems the Hammers and Gunners could strike a new deal in the January transfer window.

Earlier this month, David Moyes admitted he is keen to bring in a new left-sided attacker next month.

And the answer could come from Arsenal.

Moyes told The Evening Standard he is having to play Lucas Paqueta out of position there. And his actions this season show he has lost faith in Said Benrahma, Maxwel Cornet and Pablo Fornals – all of whom have been linked with moves away.

Moyes made left-sided attacker admission

“We’ve been a bit short on the left,” Moyes said.

Paqueta, it’s not his position but I think he’s done a good job for us there.”

Hammers News exclusively reported a month ago that West Ham had to ship players out to make space in the squad and satisfy FFP rules.

West Ham also need to sign players who meet the Premier League’s homegrown rule criteria.

Good news then from Arsenal today for the Irons.

Because Arsenal are open to loaning out the bit-part star West Ham want as a new report makes a big Reiss Nelson claim.

In the summer the likes of The Evening Standard and Daily Cannon claimed West Ham were keen to sign Nelson.

Arsenal open to loaning out West Ham target Nelson

The lightning quick and tricky left-sided Gunners attacker has made just three starts all season – only one of them being in the league.

Word is the Hammers remain interested.

And now The Mirror claims Arsenal are open to loaning Nelson out in the January window.

There’s a problem, though. The report states the 24-year-old Elephant and Castle-born star wants to stay at the Emirates and fight for his place.

Nelson would be the perfect addition to West Ham’s counter-attacking style.

But if he’d rather sit on the bench than play football then perhaps it’s best the Hammers leave him on Mikel Arteta’s bench.
