West Ham United have made a rather interesting Vladimir Coufal new contract decision it seems.
According to Claret and Hugh – a website with close links to West Ham owner David Sullivan – a decision has been made regarding whether or not to hand Vladimir Coufal a new contract.

The 31-year-old right-back will be out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer of 2024, but the Hammers do have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months.

Coufal has proven to be a key player for West Ham once again this season, and David Moyes is clearly a big fan of the Czech Republic international.
It was recently claimed by Sean Whetstone that the Hammers planned to activate that option, but didn’t intend to offer him a brand new deal with improved terms.

West Ham United make very interesting Vladimir Coufal new contract decision
Claret and Hugh claim that the Hammers could offer the 31-year-old right-back a further extension on the 12-month option that we currently hold.
Coufal recently suggested that he would sign a new contract with West Ham in a heartbeat.
In fairness to the former Slavia Prague defender, he has been in superb form for the Hammers this season, so he probably deserves a new deal. However, whether that contract should be any longer than a year is a debate for another time.

In eight Premier League games for West Ham this season, Coufal has bagged four assists. During those appearances he has averaged 2.8 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 2.4 clearances (Who Scored).
The 31-year-old has always played with real passion, commitment and desire. It is what makes him such useful squad member, regardless of his form.
There was talk earlier this season that Vladimir Coufal could face an exit from the London Stadium. In fact, he was heavily linked with a move to the Bundesliga in the summer transfer window, and the January window before.
However, it now seems as though he’s set to stay at West Ham. And considering his early season form, that’s a very good thing.
