Vladimir Coufal has opened up on a potential new contract offer from West Ham United.

West Ham right-back Vladimir Coufal will be out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer of 2024.

He was exceptional during his first season with West Ham but he definitely regressed last term, and he was heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium in the summer.

However, Coufal has made a decent start to the new season and seems to be the first-hocie full-back under Moyes…

According to the Evening Standard, Coufal said that he probably would sign a new one-year extension, if offered one by the Hammers, and it is said that he’s ‘quite confident’ it will happen.

I would not be surprised at all to see the Czech Republic international’s contract extended by West Ham.

That said, I still think Moyes needs to make an upgrade on him either in January or next summer.

Vladimir Coufal is still a vital player for West Ham and he’s adored by the fans because of his ‘die for the cause’ attitude and passion that he shows for the club.

He might not have the pace needed to succeed in the Premier League anymore, but he’s definitely a good squad player.

I think that the Hammers should hand him a one-year contract extension but nothing more than that. Moyes should be looking to sign a young right-back with pace and power in abundance next summer.
