West Ham United ace Maxwel Cornet has posted a hugely positive update on his Instagram account.
The 26-year-old Hammers winger has been absent from action since early October when he suffered what seemed to be a fairly innocuous calf injury at the time.

At the time, the injury was expected to keep Cornet out for around a couple of weeks.

Four months later though, and we are still yet to see the Ivorian attacker return for West Ham.
Cornet moved to the London Stadium from Burnley in the summer for around £17.5 million (Sky Sports). Unfortunately for him though, he hasn’t yet made much of an impact under David Moyes.
Injuries certainly haven’t helped his cause, that’s for sure.
He may well be closing in on a return to action though, and hopefully now we will begin to see the best of the winger…
Huge Maxwel Cornet injury boost for West Ham
The 26-year-old Hammers attacker could be set to return to action ‘very soon’.
Well, that’s what he thinks anyway. Cornet took to his Instagram account last night, and shared a hugely exciting message:
Having Cornet back and available for selection will be a huge boost for David Moyes, especially with a key run of fixtures coming up.
During the 26-year-old’s absence, we have lacked any kind of pace or penetration as a team in the final third, and that has made us so predictable to play against.
A bit of pace always makes the opposition think twice about pushing higher up the pitch and congesting the middle of the park.
Hopefully Maxwel Cornet is ready to feature for West Ham in our next game away at Tottenham but perhaps the following weekend’s clash with Nottingham Forest is a more realistic target for him.
