The only reason that David Moyes hasn’t been sacked yet is because the West Ham United board believe there aren’t any better candidates for the job available.
West Ham are in real trouble at the moment, and are currently sitting in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

There have been some signs of improvement recently but our form over the past two or three months in general has been absolutely dire.

20 points from 22 Premier League games tells us everything we need to know about the Hammers‘ season so far.
Moyes is clearly treading on very thin ice, and it seems as though he’s a very lucky man to still be in a job…
Only one reason why David Moyes hasn’t been sacked yet
The Scot has retained his position as West Ham manager purely because the Hammers board don’t think that there are any available candidates better than him, according to a report from TEAMtalk.
That is very debatable in itself, but the fact that Moyes is apparently still only in charge at the London Stadium because of that reason is fairly damning to his hopes of still being in the job at the end of the season.
Much will depend on the result between now and the end of the season, obviously.

It just feels like Moyes is a dead man walking, and if there aren’t significant improvements between now and May, he will undoubtedly be moved on, regardless of whether we avoid relegation or not.
I am still baffled that David Moyes wasn’t sacked after the Leicester game just before the break for the World Cup.
It’s now down to the Scot to prove everyone wrong again.
I really have my doubts that he will be able to do that though.
