West Ham officially confirm second January transfer window deal

West Ham United have just confirmed our second deal of the January transfer window.

David Moyes has already completed one January transfer window deal for West Ham this month.

Thilo Kehrer has left the Hammers to join Monaco on loan for the rest of the season, and the Ligue 1 outfit have an obligation to sign him on a permanent deal in the summer if he makes a certain amount of appearances.

And now another player has left the London Stadium on loan.

Young goalkeeper Krisztian Hegyi has left West Ham to join Dutch side FC Den Bosch on a loan deal up until the end of the season, via the official website.

He has spent the first half of the season on loan with Stevenage but now a move to Holland beckons for him.

The loan move is exactly what the 21-year-old Hammers starlet needed in my opinion…

Hegyi is a highly-rated young goalkeeper, and he insisted recently that he wants to break through into the Hammers first-team as soon as possible.

He captained the under-21s last season and Moyes is clearly a big fan of the youngster, having recently included him in the squad for our UEFA Europa Conference League clash with AEK Larnaca.

Hegyi has been described as ‘sensational’ by the Hammers’ official website. And the young Hungarian impresses pretty much every time he puts the gloves on for West Ham’s youth team.

Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the Hungarian cuts an imposing figure, and he’s really commanding in the air. He is a superb shot-stopper as well, and has all of the tools needed to succeed at the very highest level.

However, nothing will prepare him more to push for a place in Moyes’s starting lineup than a loan move away from the club this winter. You just can’t put a price on regular, competitive action at senior level.

So the move to FC Den Bosch is exactly what Hegyi needed right now. West Ham have completed our second January transfer window deal of the month – both of them exits. Now it would be nice to see a few new arrivals…
