West Ham now a step closer to appointing hugely exciting manager to succeed David Moyes

West Ham United are believed to be a little bit closer to appointing a new manager to succeed David Moyes.

David Moyes is under real pressure right now in his role as West Ham manager, and Thomas Tuchel is a name who has been linked with the London Stadium hot-seat.

The Hammers have nose-dived down the Premier League table since our last win at the end of December, and the quality of football has been utterly atrocious this season.

Moyes needs to sort things out, and fast. It is believed that owners are desperate for the Scot to get it right, but if the poor form continues, they may well sack him before the end of the season.

So could Tuchel really be a realistic target for us?

West Ham closer to appointing manager to succeed David Moyes

According to a report from Daily Express, Tuchel leaving Bayern at the end of the season will leave the door open for the Hammers to appoint the German.

The German has won three league titles and the Champions League during his time in the game, and is a really astute tactician.

Tuchel would take West Ham to another level entirely, I have absolutely no doubts about that,

He favours a possession-based system with a front three who are always interchanging positions. If you need evidence of the quality of football that Tuchel is capable of implementing, just watch a video of Chelsea dismantling Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in April 2022.

The 50-year-old has the charisma and the know-how to get West Ham firing and challenging for the top four, if he is backed accordingly in the transfer market of course.

And if the Bayern Munich manager ends up succeeding David Moyes at the London Stadium, I think we could well be going places as a club.
