West Ham United realistically could appoint a truly top-class manager to replace David Moyes it seems.
David Moyes is under real pressure in his role as West Ham boss right now, and the club’s owners could replace him if things continue to go downhill.
The Hammers are currently in the midst of a woeful run of form, having not won a game in our last eight attempts, and the natives are growing restless in East London.
With Moyes feeling the heat, soon-to-be sacked Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has been heavily linked with the manager’s job at the London Stadium.
There have been questions raised as to whether the 50-year-old German would be keen to move to West Ham.
Now it seems as though we could have a realistic chance of appointing him…
West Ham could appoint really big name to replace David Moyes
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Tuchel is ‘fascinated’ by the Premier League and English football in general.
That should give the Hammers a decent chance of convincing him to take over at the London Stadium, and what an unbelievable appointment he would be.
Whatever people say, he was a success at Stamford Bridge. He won the Champions League during his time with the Blues and had his team competing with Premier League juggernauts Manchester City and Liverpool for large parts of the season.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager also won the league twice with Paris Saint-Germain and once with Bayern Munich.
He favours a possession-based system with a front three who are always interchanging positions. If you need evidence of the quality of football that Tuchel is capable of implementing, just watch a video of Chelsea dismantling Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in April 2022.
Tuchel is definitely not flawless – what manager is – but he definitely has the skillset needed to take the Hammers to a whole new level.
West Ham could replace David Moyes if the Scot fails to turn things around very quickly indeed. And as far as I’m concerned, we won’t be able to do much better than replacing him with Tuchel.
