West Ham United are apparently in the race to sign a striker who is absolutely tearing it up this season.

David Moyes has built a fantastic squad of players at West Ham but it has to be said, the Scot needs to sign a top-class striker, if we are to make the jump up to the next level.

There have been numerous centre-forwards signed by the Hammers over the past few years but none of them have worked out.

The likes of Gianluca Scamacca and Sebastien Haller have come and gone. However, Serhou Guirassy is someone who I think would suit us perfectly.

Moyes is apparently keen to sign the 27-year-old hitman, and I reckon the Scot might just have a secret weapon in the race for the Guinea international…

Moyes brought Konstantinos Mavropanos the London Stadium from Stuttgart this summer just gone – the same club that Guirassy plays for.

The 27-year-old joined the Bundesliga club in the summer of 2022 and played one full season alongside the Greece international.

Mavropanos has already absolutely raved about West Ham and praised the way his teammates have helped him settle into life in the Capital (WHUFC.com).

There is obviously a real feel-good factor emanating from the London Stadium right now – it’s probably the best atmosphere we’ve had at the club since the late 90’s, early 2000’s.

Mavropanos obviously knows Guirassy, so if we are indeed in for him, the centre-back will surely be selling the Hammers to him as a great club to play for.

The Stuttgart forward apparently has a £17 million release clause inserted into his current contract with the Bundesliga side (BILD.).

Buli News describe the forward as ‘unbelievable’, and they’re not wrong – he really is in superb form. He’d take the Hammers to another level in my opinion.

And with Dinos already at the club, West Ham should be in pole position in the race to sign the Stuttgart striker this winter.
