West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur could be set to battle it out for the signing of Galatasaray winger Kerem Aktürkoğlu in the January transfer window.

According to Fotospor, West Ham and Tottenham could be prepared to offer the 24-year-old around £2 million per year – or £40k-a-week – in the January transfer window. That would represent a huge increase on the £5,000 per week that he currently earns with Galatasaray.

Hammers boss David Moyes may well be keen to bolster his wide attacking ranks this winter, with Said Benrahma underperforming.

And it seems as though the Scot has someone specific in mind to come into the club in January…

The Hammers face competition from Spurs in the race to sign the Galatasaray forward according to a report from Fotospor.

And we’re allegedly prepared to offer him eight times what he currently earns at the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi Stadium.

Daily Sabah recently reported that Gala will demand around £17 million for the Turkey international. That sounds like great value for money to me.

He has bagged 34 goals and 37 assists in 135 games for Galatasaray (Transfermarkt) – a hugely impressive output. The forward has showcased his ability on the biggest stage this season as well, with a goal in the Champions League.

This season, he has bagged five goals and seven assists in just 16 games for Gala (Transfermarkt).

I have no doubts that Kerem Aktürkoğlu would be a terrific addition to Moyes’s ranks at West Ham.

However, it remains to be seen whether we’re able to beat Tottenham to his signature.
