West Ham are reportedly eyeing up a January move to sign Galatasaray star Kerem Aktürkoğlu, and it could mean the end for one Hammers star.
According to a report from Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi.com, Kerem Aktürkoğlu is firmly on the radar of West Ham ahead of the January transfer window.

Now, the report claims that the 24-year-old is being eyed up by the Hammers to replace Jarrod Bowen. That couldn’t be further from the truth though.

Aktürkoğlu is a right footed left winger, so the only West Ham player he will be replacing is Said Benrahma as far as I’m concerned.
The 28-year-old has hardly played this season, certainly not from the start of games, and it will probably be in both his and the club’s best interest for him to move on either in January or next summer.
Benrahma’s exit may well be expedited with the arrival of Kerem Aktürkoğlu…
West Ham boss David Moyes eyes £17m Champions League star Kerem Aktürkoğlu
Habersarikirmizi.com reckon that the Hammers could try to sign the Galatasaray winger this winter.
Daily Sabah reported that Gala will demand around £17 million for the 22-capped Turkey international. That sounds like great value for money to me.
He has bagged 34 goals and 37 assists in 135 games for Galatasaray (Transfermarkt) – a hugely impressive output. The forward has showcased his ability on the biggest stage this season as well, with a goal in the Champions League.
Aktürkoğlu has pace in abundance, in fact he is lightning quick. He is also a very impressive dribbler and a competent finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.

The Galatasaray ace would be a fantastic addition to Moyes’s squad, but I just don’t see a scenario whereby both him and Benrahma can coexist at the London Stadium.
Now, I have been a big fan of Benrahma throughout the years, but it’s clear to see that he quite simply doesn’t fit into Moyes’s plans any more.
Kerem Aktürkoğlu would be a big upgrade on the Algerian at the London Stadium as far as I’m concerned.
And if Moyes brings the Turkish ace to West Ham in January, Benrahma’s days at the club will be numbered in my opinion.
