Jarrod Bowen will be hoping that Graham Potter brings numerous top-class signings to West Ham United in the summer.

And it seems like we now know one player he definitely wants West Ham to sign.

Jarrod Bowen has been at the London Stadium for just over five years now, and he has firmly established himself as a club legend in that time.

The 28-year-old has bagged an incredible 68 goals and 43 assists in 227 games for the Hammers (Transfermarkt), and he scored the winner in the 2023 Europa Conference League final as well don’t forget.

He is a sensational footballer and is crucial to everything good that West Ham do.

Graham Potter is a huge fan of Bowen, and recently predicted that there is still a lot more to come from him.

That’s a scary thought for his opponents! Bowen is pretty much the complete package already.

And the former Hull City man seems to be really growing into his role as captain at the London Stadium as well.

Bringing in top tier signings to play alongside the forward will be crucial to keeping him happy though.

And it’s clear that Bowen wants the Hammers owners to sign one player in particular.

Jarrod Bowen wants West Ham to sign Evan Ferguson

The Hammers signed Evan Ferguson on loan from Brighton in the January window.

And Potter is said to be very keen indeed to sign him permanently from the Seagulls in the summer.

It seems like Bowen is equally as keen as his manager for the Irishman to stay at the London Stadium beyond the end of his loan spell.

Famous West Ham fans Danny Dyer, and father-in-law of Bowen, shared exactly what the Hammers skipper thinks of Ferguson, when speaking on the Off The Ball podcast:

I would love him to come to West Ham (permanently). Jarrod likes him as well, he gets on with him, thinks he’s got something about him.

So judging by those comments, Bowen clearly wants West Ham to sign Ferguson permanently.

And whilst that wouldn’t be a bad thing, I believe the Hammers need to be a little bit more ambitious.

Forget Ferguson, signing Liam Delap should be West Ham’s priority

Liam Delap is the man the Hammers should be going all out for in my opinion.

I’m not suggesting that the Hammers shouldn’t sign Ferguson permanently in the summer, especially if he succeeds with us during his loan spell.

But the Hammers need more than just the Irishman.

Danny Ings will definitely leave, whilst Michail Antonio’s future with the Hammers is hugely uncertain.

Meanwhile, Niclas Fullkrug will most likely leave the club as well.

And Delap is the man we need to take us to another level.

The 22-year-old is a real powerhouse of a striker, and he’s an excellent finisher as well.

Delap has bagged 10 goals and two assists in 26 Premier League games for a struggling Ipswich Town side this season (Transfermarkt).

He possesses terrific pace and movement as well. He’s literally perfect for us.

Jarrod Bowen may well want West Ham to sign Evan Ferguson permanently, but the addition of Liam Delap would be the icing on the cake.
