David Moyes made plenty of brilliant signings during his time in charge of West Ham United.
However, he made a few really poor acquisitions as well, and now the West Ham squad is an extremely unbalanced and ageing one as a result.
David Moyes brought huge success to the London Stadium during his second stint at the club, so it’s hard to criticise him.
In the early days, his better signings included Czech mates Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal, and interestingly, he now wants to bring both of them to Everton.

Then later on, he brought in the likes of Kurt Zouma, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta.

However, for every Kudus and Paqueta, there was a Nikola Vlasic and an Alex Kral.
That said, one of his signings in particular takes the biscuit as his very worst at West Ham.
Now though, the player who flopped badly at the London Stadium could end up doing us a massive favour.
West Ham have a secret weapon in Koni De Winter race
According to a report from Tutto Juve journalist Mirko Di Natale, West Ham are lining up a summer move to sign Koni De Winter.
West Ham were linked with a move to sign De Winter back inJanuary.
However, the 22-year-old remained in Italy in the end. He is said to be available for around £12.4 million (Mondo Udinese) – an absolutely bargain in this day and age.
The young Belgian is exactly the type of player we should be targeting.
De Winter is an elite talent. He’s exceptionally talented with the ball at his feet, has coolness and composure in abundance and standing at 6ft 3in tall, he has the physical profile needed to succeed in the Premier League as well.
In addition to all of that, the youngster is incredibly versatile, and can operate as a right full-back and in the defensive midfield role as well if need be.
De Winter has scored three goals in 15 Serie A games so far this season. During those appearances, he has averaged 1.5 tackles, 0.9 interceptions, 3.9 clearances and 3.3 successful aerial duels per match.
The Belgium international is also exceptionally comfortable with the ball at his feet. He has made 46.3 passes per game on average and has recorded a completion rate of 84.9% (Who Scored).

Signing De Winter should be a no-brainer for the Hammers, and we might just have a secret weapon to make a deal happen.
David Moyes’ worst signing ever is now West Ham’s secret weapon
During Moyes’s time at West Ham, he made arguably the worst signing of his career.
The Scot brought Maxwel Cornet to the London Stadium from Burnley, but for numerous different reasons, he proved to be a disastrous addition for the Hammers.
The West Ham fans certainly never saw the best of Cornet, but now he could do us a huge favour.
That’s because he’s thriving right now out in Italy whilst on loan with Genoa.
The 28-year-old has one goal and one assist to his name in five games so far for the Italian side, and Genoa boss Patrick Vieira has been hugely impressed by the Hammers-owned winger.
If West Ham really want to sign Koni De Winter in the summer, Maxwel Cornet could end up being our secret weapon in the race to obtain the 22-year-old’s signature, as the Hammers owners should be able to use him as a makeweight in the deal for the Belgian.
And if that ends up being the case, Moyes’s worst ever signing for the Hammers could end up being extremely useful for us.
