Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has provided a Jesse Lingard fitness update ahead of the West Ham United clash on Saturday.
West Ham play host to Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium tomorrow, and it’s an absolutely must-win game for us.

Lingard spent an incredibly successful four month loan spell with the Hammers in the 2020/21 season.
So the West Ham fans know all about his quality. Unfortunately for us, it seems as though he could face us tomorrow…
Cooper provides Lingard update ahead of West Ham vs Nottingham clash
The Forest boss addressed the media yesterday ahead of the Hammers clash.
And Cooper responded when asked whether Jesse Lingard will be fit to face his former club, as quoted by the Athletic:

“Jesse is available for the weekend. Again, he’s one we have to be a little bit careful with, with not doing too much, too soon. He’s had a few constant niggles which have been a bit frustrating for all of us, but he’s back in training. With regards to the weekend, we’ll see whether it comes too soon. But he’s definitely been out training for the past couple of days.”
If LingArd plays, it will be a massive boost for Forest, and a blow for West Ham at the same time.
The 30-year-old has only played one game since the end of December for Forest, and that was on January 27th. So there is a good chance that he won’t start tomorrow, even if he is available for selection.
Either way, his availability is definitely great news for Forest and the opposite for West Ham!
Let’s just hope that we really take the game for them tomorrow and make’s Lingard’s potential return a moot point.
