Manuel Lanzini‘s wife urged David Moyes to bring on her husband during the Tottenham vs West Ham United clash yesterday.

Lanzini, 30, scored one of the best goals of our recent history when the Hammers came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 away at Tottenham in October 2020.

The Argentinian ace scored an absolute thunderbolt from 25 yards out deep into injury time to level the scores. Since then though, things haven’t gone very well at all for Manu.

The West Ham ace made 30 Premier League appearances under Moyes last season, compared to just five this term. He was given 1787 minutes in the league last season and so far this term, he has just 122 minutes of league action to his name (Transfermarkt).

Lanzini recently took to Instagram to suggest that he hags been baffled by his lack of playing time for West Ham this season.

And now his wife has done the same thing…

Manuel Lanzini’s wife posts Instagram message during Tottenham vs West Ham clash

The South American star’s wife urged Moyes to mix things up and bring on her husband yesterday.

Jennifer Reina took to Instagram with a very clear message for the Scot:

Manuel Lanzini’s wife was clearly referring to Lanzini’s wonder goal that earned West Ham a point against Tottenham two-and-a-half years ago.

In my opinion though, she was spot on, Lanzini should have come on.

There was a period in the second-half where the Hammers just couldn’t get hold of the football, and during that time we conceded two goals that subsequently lost us the match.

Lanzini would have been the perfect player to bring on, what with his quality in possession and cool and composed nature when he has the football at his feet.

However, David Moyes rarely reacts to a game changing in real-time and will have his substitutes, both timing and personnel, pre-planned.

The Argentinian can think himself unlucky in my option, and so can the West Ham fans. I believe that he should have been brought on around the 60 minute mark, because things could have ended up very different. It’s a shame that David Moyes didn’t listen to Manuel Lanzini’s wife!
