The German has been responsible for some terrific signings for the Hammers, but there is seemingly a power struggle behind the scenes between him and the Scot.
Apparently there will only be one winner, and it won’t be the West Ham boss! Steidten has a lot of important tasks lying ahead of him in the January transfer window and next summer.
However, none more so than making a big upgrade on the underperforming Michail Antonio…

Source close to West Ham board claims Tim Steidten has one main priority in the January window
According to Claret and Hugh, the German’s number one task this winter is to bring in an upgrade on Antonio.
And it’s little wonder as to why – the Jamaica international has been in dreadful form for West Ham this season.
The 33-year-old is completely done at the very highest level, and he really shouldn’t be leading the line for the Hammers any more.
There are plenty of options out there for West Ham in January, including the likes of Stuttgart hitman Serhou Guirassy, Parsi Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike and Feyenoord marksman Santiago Gimenez.
All three of those players would be massive upgrades on Michail Antonio at the London Stadium, there is no doubting that fact.
Tim Steidten has already proven his worth since he moved to West Ham in the summer. Now though, the 44-year-old has to put the cherry on top of the cake by bringing a top-class centre-forward to the London Stadium.
And judging by Moyes’s system, this may well be the toughest task that the German has faced yet.
