Sky Sports’ Spurs man has held his hands up over West Ham United’s transfer business and has made a bold claim.
There may be no love lost between rivals West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur but they share a lot in common this summer.
The Hammers and Spurs have both lost their homegrown heroes Declan Rice and Harry Kane.
Pundits and rival fans have doubted West Ham and Tottenham’s ability to not only replace their talismanic stars but progress without them.
And in many respects both West Ham and Tottenham had been written off before a ball had even been kicked this season.

They’re both defying the doubters thus far, though. Both West Ham and Spurs are unbeaten thus far and are sitting pretty in the top four of the fledgling Premier League table heading into the international break.
New signings are shining under David Moyes and Ange Postecoglou winning praise from pundits and journalists alike.
Ex Spurs star Darren Ambrose has claimed West Ham and Tottenham have made the best signings of the summer.
And the praise just keeps on coming, with more from another Tottenham man for their rivals.
Hammers News praised excellent Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge for being one of the only journalists to ask Moyes difficult questions fans wanted answers to last season.
Bridge is a big Spurs fan and also covers the club in his role as one of Sky Sports’ leading football reporters.

Spurs reporter lauds Moyes and Steidten and raves about Kudus coup
Now Sky Sports’ Spurs man has held his hands up over West Ham United’s transfer business and has made a bold claim.
Bridge has been delighted by what he has seen from Tottenham under Postecoglou.
But he has doffed his cap to West Ham when speaking about business done by clubs over the summer when speaking on Sky Sports News.
The reporter has praised Moyes and Hammers technical director Tim Steidten – who Fabrizio Romano claimed West Ham beat Spurs to appointing earlier this summer.
And he says £38m man Mohammed Kudus is a major coup who easily have joined a so-called elite club.

Hammers and Spurs winning plenty of mutual admirers
“I have to give huge credit to West Ham because I think they’ve spent their money superbly,” Bridge said.
“Kudus is easily a top-six player, so I’ve got to give credit to Tim Steidten. David Moyes wanted James Ward-Prowse, which was a no-brainer.
“I take my hat off to West Ham.”
Bridge’s compliment comes after Gabby Agbonlahor said West Ham have made the best signing of the summer and Arsenal the worst.
And Gary Neville is a fan too, lavishing praise on West Ham after being blown away by their post Rice rebuild.
Meanwhile, West Ham vice-chair Karren Brady will appreciate what Postecoglou is doing at Spurs.
She made a truly prophetic claim about the Australian before he became Tottenham’s new manager.
