Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill has shared what the West Ham United owners have told him about David Moyes.

The West Ham boss is under real pressure in his role at the London Stadium at the moment, with his Hammers side currently sitting inside the relegation zone in the Premier League table.

What an awful season it has been for West Ham so far, with just 20 points taken from our 23 league games.

Moyes is undoubtedly standing on thin ice, with the likes of Rafa Bentiez allegedly being lined up to replace the Scot, should the poor results continue.

Strangely though, it appears as though that’s not the case at all. And what the Hammers board have told one Sky Sports reporter about Moyes will blow your minds…

West Ham board’s stance on David Moyes

Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill was at the West Ham training ground yesterday, running his eye over the session.

As the Hammers players were being put through their paces in the background, the topic of conversation turned to Moyes’s job security.

And Cotterill shared with the Sky Sports viewers what the West Ham owners have told him about David Moyes:

“All the teams around them in the Premier League relegation dogfight have changed managers, but I’m told by the West Ham board that there is absolutely no prospect of David Moyes losing his job as things stand. Names are being mentioned, aren’t they – the likes of Pochettino, the likes of Thomas Tuchel, the likes of Rafael Benitez, but I’m told David Moyes would be the kind of manager, that if were they going to make a change, they would bring in to try and make sure they staved off relegation. You would go for David Moyes type CV if you’re West Ham at the moment.”

Now, this is an utterly baffling way of thinking in my opinion. And I think that if it wouldn’t cost the board any money to get rid of Moyes, they would have done so a long time ago.

How can the man who has totally destroyed us over the past six months, and guided his team to less than a point per game in the Premier League, be the ‘kind of manager’ West Ham need to stave off relegation?

It’s just mind-boggling. With that kind of attitude and with David Moyes at the helm, West Ham will go down, I have no doubt in my mind about that.

Moyes should be dragged out of the London Stadium. It’s far too late for him to have a dignified exit now in my opinion. All the problems that we are currently facing are because of him, his turgid, old fashioned playing style and his inability to get the best out of the summer signings.

Moyes has to go before it’s too late. Unfortunately for the fans though, it appears as though the board do not subscribe to that notion, and that will end up being very costly indeed for the football club in the long- run, in my opinion.
