There has been a shock new West Ham manager twist from a David Sullivan source after the Kenny Moyes claim.

The future of David Moyes at West Ham has been thrown into doubt once again.

In what has become a bit of a long-running saga, the Hammers boat has rocked one way and now another today.

We reported on Hammers News earlier about Sean Whetstone’s claim regarding Moyes’ brother Kenny.

Whetstone stated that Kenny had revealed his brother wants to stay at West Ham beyond the summer and believes he will sign a new contract.

Shock new manager twist from Sullivan source

That comes after West Ham’s manager himself confirmed he is due to meet with majority owner David Sullivan at the end of the month to discuss a new contract. And reports have abound recently claiming he will be handed a new two-and-a-half year deal.

But now there’s a shock new West Ham manager twist from a David Sullivan source after the Kenny Moyes claim.

According to Hughie Southon on Claret and Hugh, Moyes staying at West Ham beyond this season is far from certain.

And if he does the Scot will only be handed a one-year rolling contract.

“Moyes’ West Ham future remains in the balance,” Southon states.

‘Should a deal be offered at all…’

“The board are not giving any date for the talks to start although initially admitted that they will happen before the end of the transfer window…

“It seems possible however with the Hammers refusing to give a date for the talks that they may be waiting on results with some tricky fixtures on the agenda following poor recent performances…

“Should a deal be offered at all it is likely to be a one year rolling contract rather than long term.”

Last month a journalist claimed sources had informed him that Moyes had told close friends that he will leave the Hammers at the end of the campaign.

And it was also stated that work had started in the search for Moyes’ successor.

But Moyes questioned the credibility of the report, saying he has very few close mates.

West Ham remain in the top six and have qualified for the last 16 of the European football for the third successive season having won a first major trophy for 43 years just seven months ago.

But doubts remain among some West Ham fans given performance levels and the weak squad Moyes has built in key areas.
