‘I’m leaving West Ham’ David Moyes has told friends according to claims from a football journalist’s sources.
‘Will he stay or will he go’ seems to have been the question surrounding David Moyes’ future at West Ham for over a year now.
Moyes has admitted himself he twice came close to losing his job during the dark days of last season.
And Harry Redknapp recently revealed he believes West Ham and the Scot would have parted ways in the summer had it not been for the Europa Conference League triumph.
Moyes’ contract is up at the end of the season as things stand. And speculation has once again been rife over whether he will be offered a new deal.

Report: ‘I’m leaving West Ham’ Moyes tells friends
That’s despite West Ham being sixth in the Premier League table at Christmas and in the last 16 of the Europa League.
A host of managers have been linked as potential successors to Moyes at the London Stadium including the likes of Xabi Alonso.
Now one website has made a major claim about the manager’s future beyond this season.
‘I’m leaving West Ham’ Moyes tells friends according to a journalist’s sources.
Football Insider reporter Wayne Veysey says sources have informed him of a seven-word message Moyes has told close friends – that he will leave the Hammers at the end of the campaign.

Journalist claims Moyes has delivered 7-word verdict
The report claims Moyes has told those friends he “won’t be at West Ham next year” and adds that the Scot ‘has had no signals from club chiefs they want him long-term’.
Verysey also states work has already started in the search for Moyes’ heir.
There has been just as much focus on the expectations of Hammers supporters as there has been on Moyes’ West Ham future of late.
Backlash to the manager’s decision to rest key players in the Carabao Cup thumping at Liverpool sparked a spiky response from Moyes.

Nothing unusual about lack of contract talks
He defended his Hammers record and questioned whether things can get any better for West Ham without state-funded investment.
But many fans believe West Ham – with the players they have, the fact they have the second biggest following in the country and are one of the 15 most lucrative clubs in world football – have every right to expect a better style of play and results.
On that subject, Jamie Carragher has warned West Ham fans they cannot have their cake and eat it.
It must be said there is nothing unusual about the fact West Ham have not yet had discussions with Moyes over a new contract.
Even if they do plan on extending the Scot’s stay, majority owner David Sullivan has a policy of waiting until the end of a season to evaluate such matters.
Without knowing who Veysey’s “sources” are it’s difficult to know how much credibility to give these claims.
