West Ham are eyeing a move to appoint Fulham manager Marco Silva if David Moyes is sacked at the end of the season.

Fulham boss Marco Silva could be the man to come in and replace David Moyes at West Ham this summer, according to The Daily Mail.

However, there is a very big problem – the 45-year-old Portuguese has a £6 million buyout clause inserted into his contract with Fulham.

A recent report claimed that Moyes, 60, could stay on as West Ham manager beyond the end of this season if the Hammers win the Europa Conference League.

However, there are also reports suggesting that the Scot will be sent packing whatever happens between now and the end of the current campaign.

And if that happens, it seems as though the Hammers owners think Marco Silva is the man to come in and guide the club on into a new era of success…

West Ham want Marco Silva if David Moyes is sacked

The Mail reckon that the Hammers are eyeing up a move to appoint the Fulham boss this summer.

If West Ham pay the £6 million needed to prise Siva away from Craven Cottage, it will be the eighth most expensive fee paid for a football manager in history (90 Min).

I would absolutely love Silva at the London Stadium. Some of the football that his Fulham side have been playing this season really has been truly spectacular.

The former Everton boss likes to implement a high tempo, high press, possession based playing style. In other words – the polar opposite to David Moyes’s philosophy!

The Cottagers were pushing for the European spots before Aleksandr Mitrovic’s untimely eight-match ban.

If David Moyes is sacked this summer, I think Marco Silva would be a superb replacement for the Scot. However, whether the Hammers owners are actually prepared to pay his £6 million buyout clause is highly doubtful in my opinion.
