Ajax ace Steven Bergwijn is reportedly a top transfer target for West Ham United in the January window.
West Ham boss David Moyes is trying to bring Steven Bergwijn to the London Stadium in the January transfer window, and we are apparently speeding up our pursuit of the Dutchman.
The Hammers have somewhat of an injury crisis on our hands, after Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta both picked up knocks yesterday.
Michail Antonio is also out injured right now, whilst Mohammed Kudus is currently away at AFCON with Ghana.
Our attacking options are really thin on the ground now, and if we’re going to enjoy a successful 2023/24 campaign on all fronts, Moyes really must bolster his ranks at the London Stadium.
With that in mind, I feel like a move for the flying Dutchman would be the perfect transfer for West Ham in January…

What Steven Bergwijn thinks about West Ham move
According to a report from Voetbal International, the 26-year-old Ajax attacker is open to joining the Hammers this winter, if the financial package suits him.
The report also goes on to suggest that Ajax want to recoup most of the £27 million that they paid to sign him from Tottenham in 2022.
I think that signing the Netherlands international for that kind of fee should be a no-brainer for West Ham – he’d be absolutely perfect for us.
During his time with Tottenham, the 26-year-old bagged just eight goals and 10 assists in 83 games, but he’s faired far better with Ajax, with 24 goals and nine assists to his name in just 65 outings (Transfermarkt).
West Ham target Steven Bergwijn possesses blistering pace, impressive technical ability and can play anywhere along the front-line.
For what he could bring to our team, I believe that paying £27 million for him would be a great deal for us.
