A report has made a big Mark Warburton claim with David Moyes facing the sack if West Ham United lose to Fulham.

The Guardian claim that if David Moyes is sacked, West Ham coach Mark Warburton could step into his role on an interim basis.

Rafa Benitez is allegedly on the radar of the West Ham board as well.

It’s little wonder why the Hammers boss is feeling the heat at the London Stadium – his side have been truly awful this season.

West Ham are currently sitting outside the relegation zone only because of a superior goal difference to those below us in the Premier League table.

A defeat today away at Fulham could spell the end for Moyes’s time in East London…

Mark Warburton could become West Ham manager

The Guardian reckon that the Hammers board are lining up potential replacements for Moyes, should we lose to Fulham today.

And appointing Warburton as interim boss is apparently a possibility.

I’m not sure what to think about this one. On one hand I strongly feel that literally anybody would be better than Moyes at the moment but on the other…it’s Mark Warburton for crying out loud!

I’m still scratching my head as to to what he’s actually done since joining the coaching staff at the London Stadium in the summer.

Is it a coincidence that the Hammers’ form has fallen off the face of a cliff since the 60-year-old London-born coach moved to the club? Perhaps not.

Listen, I’ve reached the point now where I just want Moyes gone, whoever the replacement. And I think that most Hammers fans are on that page.

However, Mark Warburton being handed the reins at West Ham would be a huge anti-climax if Moyes is moved on.
