Report makes big Harry Maguire claim as West Ham United and Newcastle United eye stunning summer moves for the Manchester United star.
According to claims from 90 Min, Newcastle are leading the race to sign the 30-year-old West Ham target from Man United in the summer transfer window.

Maguire is a player who is on David Moyes’s radar ahead of the summer window.
Manchester United signed the uncompromising centre-back from Leicester City in the summer of 2019 for around £90 million (talkSPORT).
However, unfortunately for the England international, he has really struggled to produce the goods on a consistent basis at Old Trafford. That doesn’t mean that he’s not a truly exceptional player though.
And I think he’ll be a tremendous signing for either West Ham or Newcastle.
It seems like we’ll have our work cut out in the race to sign Maguire this summer though…
Newcastle leading race for West Ham target Harry Maguire
90 Min are claiming that the Magpies are in pole position to sign the 30-year-old Manchester United defender in the summer.
That’s a big blow for West Ham because I think that he would be a sensational addition for David Moyes at the London Stadium.
The ex-Leicester ace is a tremendous centre-back, but unfortunately for him he just doesn’t fit very well into a team that plays a back four and a really high line. That is why he has struggled with Manchester United.
Just look how good he is for England in a slightly deeper block alongside two other centre-backs. He has been an absolute colossus for the Three Lions over the past few years.
Harry Maguire is actually very underrated with the ball at his feet as well and the way that he drives forward up the pitch really is an awesome sight to see.
The 53-capped England international’s teammate Luke Shaw described him as ‘unbelievable’ recently (The Mirror). I agree with the Man United left-back – the 30-year-old is one of the very best around.
Unfortunately for West Ham though, it appears as if Newcastle are leading the race to sign Harry Maguire in the summer.
And if the Toon get their hands on the 30-year-old, it will very much be their gain and our loss.
