Declan Rice has shared what he told the West Ham United players in the dressing room after their 4-0 battering against Brighton.
The Hammers put in an absolutely embarrassing performance against Brighton yesterday afternoon, and the home side were fully deserving of their win.

Our unbeaten run against the Seagulls has now been stretched to 12 games – six defeats and six draws. It’s just getting weird now isn’t it!

West Ham manager David Moyes would have been fuming with his side’s performance out there yesterday. It just wasn’t acceptable from a Premier League team.
It is absolutely vital that we bounce back against AEK Larnaca and Aston Villa over the next week now. And Rice alluded to that after the match yesterday…
Declan Rice shares what he told West Ham teammates
Not one single Hammers player could leave the pitch with their head held high yesterday.
Every single one of them were absolutely terrible. They let their manager, the fans and themselves down.
Rice spoke to reporters after the game and shared exactly what he told his teammates in the dressing room, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“Brighton was not good enough, it is going to hurt. We have let the fans down massively…but we will be onto the next. We just keep our heads down and I said to all the lads, we listen to ourselves and the people around us, and we stick together as a group and move on to the next one. We know it was not good enough today but let’s try and bounce back on Thursday and then we will have Villa on Sunday. I am sure our fans will be behind us in these next two fixtures.”
That’s fair enough from Dec but I have to say, these comments from players after the games are becoming rather tiresome.
I want to be positive about the remainder of the season, but it’s just impossible at the moment. The football is absolutely dire and the players clearly do not care, well most of them anyway.
There are big problems at the London Stadium at the moment. Two wins from out next two games will be absolutely vital in order to finally get our season going.
And West Ham need Declan Rice to lead us through these difficult times, if we are to enjoy a half decent season.
