West Ham United must sack David Moyes and appoint ‘unpredictable tactician’ Manuel Lanzini and Lionel Messi love.

Moyes is under intense pressure at the London Stadium in his role as West Ham manager, and rightly so.

The Hammers are currently sitting in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just one point clear of the relegation zone.

We have been one of the worst footballing sides in the league this season, if not the worst. And that comes after Moyes spent £170 million in the summer transfer window.

The Scot has been unable to get a tune out of all the summer signings. If we are to make genuine progress as a club, we need to appoint a younger manager with fresh and innovative ideas.

And I believe that the perfect candidate is currently out of work…

West Ham must sack David Moyes and appoint innovative boss

Marcelo Gallardo is currently out of work, having left his role as River Plate manager in December.

The 47-year-old South American is an ‘unpredictable tactician who all of Europe are after’ according to Football Elements.

Lionel Messi nominated him as one of the top three managers in the world for the ‘The Best Awards’. Pep Guardiola was shocked that he wasn’t nominated, saying that his work is incredible, and he’s overlooked because he doesn’t manage in Europe.

Meanwhile, Manuel Lanzini absolutely raved about Gallardo when recently discussing a potential return to River plate.

Gallardo would take this squad of players at West Ham to another level entirely in my opinion.

The Argentinian won 14 trophies during his time as River Plate manager.

The Coaches’ Voice sums up his managerial style perfectly:

“He encourages short, precise passes from defence and a gradual build through the thirds until a suitable attacking position is reached, but in a relatively short coaching career he has also demonstrated an admirable degree of flexibility.”

Gallardo initially deployed a 4-3-1-2 system but that gradually evolved into a 4-2-2-2 throughout his career.

The likes of Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta would thrive under the guidance of Gallardo in my opinion.

He would undoubtedly get more intensity and energy out of the current crop of players as well.

The 47-year-old is on a completely different level to our manager when it comes to tactics, patterns of play, shape and setup.

West Ham must sack David Moyes now and appoint the Argentinian. His managerial style would be a breath of fresh air at the London Stadium.
