West Ham United are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from Manchester Evening News who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes could make a bold move for the 27-year-old Manchester United ace this summer.

West Ham desperately need to freshen up our attacking options in the summer, with it being painfully obvious to see that Michail Antonio should be moved on from the London Stadium.

Martial is someone who the Hammers have been linked with before on more than one occasion.

And it seems as though Moyes could try his luck once again with the Frenchman this summer…

West Ham could try to sign Anthony Martial

Well, that’s what Manchester Evening News reckon anyway.

Man United allegedly want around £50 million for the 30-capped France international – a fee that West Ham have been warned against paying by Simon Jordan.

However, it’s hard not to get excited at the prospect of Moyes bringing someone like the Man United star to the London Stadium.

Martial is absolutely rapid, and he would offer us a completely different threat inside the final third.

He’s absolutely world-class on his day and his direct playing style is something that we desperately lack at West Ham.

However, his terrible injury record should be a big red flag for Moyes.

Martial has missed 66 games for Manchester United through injury since the start of the 2018/19 season (Transfermarkt).

That’s just not acceptable for someone with such a big price-tag. So West Ham signing Anthony Martial would be such a huge risk.

And for that reason, I just can’t see the Hammers signing the Man United forward in the summer.
