'Absolutely not': Simon Jordan urges West Ham to avoid 'incredible' £50m Manchester United star Anthony Martial

Simon Jordan has urged West Ham United to steer well clear of Manchester United star Anthony Martial this summer.

The 26-year-old Manchester United forward is a reported transfer target for Hammers boss David Moyes in the summer transfer window according to a report from The Daily Star.

I personally don’t think there is any chance that David Moyes brings Martial to the London Stadium this summer.

Especially after the signing of Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo.

Martial has impressed during pre-season for Manchester United, so perhaps he still has some kind of future at Old Trafford.

It seems as though talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan doesn’t think that the France international has much of a future anywhere though…

West Ham should avoid signing Anthony Martial from Manchester United

That’s according to talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan.

The controversial pundit outlined why West Ham would be mad to go anywhere near the Manchester United attacker this summer, when speaking on talkSPORT’s YouTube channel:

“I would say absolutely not, on what basis? What has he done for Manchester United? What did he do when he went out on loan? What does his attitude appear to be like? He is one to keep at arms’ length or more to the point he’s one to steer well clear of. David Moyes is no fool, his coaching staff behind him are no fools. If they can see something in this boy that is great, you can make the argument, but for me Martial is one I would send anywhere in a cab.”

Those words from Simon Jordan are incredibly harsh in all fairness.

On his day, Martial, 26, is a terrific footballer.

Paul Pogba once described Martial as an ‘incredible talent’ and one of the very best that he has ever played alongside (Sports Mole).

It’s his attitude, work-rate and commitment that has been called into question in the past, however. And it’s clear to see that Martial and David Moyes would not be a match made in heaven.

And because of that, we have to agree with the comments from Simon Jordan on Anthony Martial potentially leaving Manchester United for West Ham this summer.
