West Ham want to sign Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial according to a report from The Daily Star.
I know right…ridiculous.

Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly desperate to add more firepower to his attacking ranks at the London Stadium his summer.
The Scot has cast his net far and wide since Sebastien Haller left for Ajax in January. West Ham must have been linked with at least 30 centre-forwards.

As things stand, however, Moyes has been left empty-handed.
One big problem for the Scot is the lack of finances available to him. He will have to be incredibly thrifty in his transfer business this summer.
West Ham chasing Anthony Martial makes no sense
With money tight at the London Stadium and Manchester United demanding £58 million for the 25-year-old, it’s not rocket science to assume that The Daily Star’s report lacks any kind of truth.

The real shame is that if we had ambitious owners like those at Aston Villa, Leeds and Leicester, moves for players like Martial would not be completely out of the question.
It is what it is though. Moyes has to make do with the budget available to him.

And unfortunately, we don’t think it will be anywhere near £50 million plus.
