Paul Merson has predicted a 2-0 win for one side in the Crystal Palace vs West Ham clash this afternoon.

West Ham travel to south London to take on Crystal Palace in what will be an absolutely vital game for both clubs.

The Hammers and the Eagles have rediscovered some of their best form over the past few weeks, and will both fancy their chances of winning the game today.

David Moyes and Roy Hodgson are the two oldest managers in the Premier League, so you couldn’t get more experience between the two of them.

The Hammers will be without Gianluca Scamacca, whilst Moyes has one or two other injury concerns as well.

Palace will be without a couple of players too (Premier Injuries). But which way will the pendulum swing in this London derby?

Paul Merson predicts 2-0 win for one side in Crystal Palace vs West Ham clash

The well-renowned football pundit wrote his regular prediction column for Sportskeeda last night.

And Merson backed a two-goal win for the Hammers:

“West Ham have completely and utterly picked up since their 5-1 defeat against Newcastle. They’ve done well ever since, going unbeaten in five of their last six games. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace never looked like scoring against Everton or Wolves in their last two matches. I don’t see them breaking down David Moyes’ side either. The Hammers have a tricky set of games coming up and could really make a push for the Europa Conference League title. They’ll look to win here and should be able to get all three points.”

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 West Ham United

Wow – what a result that would be for us, let’s hope that Merson has called it spot on.

The Hammers have certainly improved in recent weeks, whilst Palace are very hard to break down. I think this game might be a tighter one than Merson has predicted.

However, I believe that West Ham can beat Crystal Palace – it might only be by the odd goal though.
