West Ham United manager David Moyes absolutely raved about Vladimir Coufal after his performance against Bournemouth yesterday.

Vladimir Coufal is seemingly back to his best now after a poor run of form for West Ham, and David Moyes spoke glowingly about the 30-year-old yesterday.

After spending a prolonged period on the sidelines, Coufal slowly declined when he returned to action and seemed like a shadow of his former self.

He lost his place in the team to Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson and admitted himself that he was close to leaving the London Stadium in the January transfer window.

Thankfully for us though, he stayed at West Ham…

David Moyes raves about West Ham ace

Coufal was one of the Hammers’ best players during our 4-0 win down on the south coast yesterday afternoon.

And Moyes told reporters after the game just how much the 30-year-old right-back has improved over the past few months, as quoted by Football.London:

“By the way, I think he’s played so, so well. The boys who have watched us more often will know he’s had a dip undoubtedly, but I think he’s come back. Really determined, he chips the ball up for Lucas at the back post. I actually think he’s improved greatly in the last [few months]. He’s probably been the one whose kept his head above water, he played really, really well today.”

Moyes, is right, the Czech Republic international has got better and better over the past couple of months or so.

Now it seems like we have the Coufal back, and what a huge boost that is for us at this stage of the season.

When he’s at his best, the 30-year-old is one of the top right-backs in the Premier League in my opinion.

And David Moyes praising the West Ham ace after yesterday’s game should do him the world of good as far as his confidence is concerned.
