Paul Merson has made his Brighton vs West Ham prediction ahead of tomorrow’s huge Premier League clash.
West Ham United head down to the south coast tomorrow looking to end our 11-game winless run against Brighton.

2012 was the last time that West Ham beat the Seagulls – a 6-0 win when both teams were in the Championship.
The 11 games between the Hammers and Brighton since then have seen us lose five and draw six.
Brighton have been absolutely flying this season whilst West Ham’s struggles have been clear and obvious for everyone to see.
However, David Moyes has adopted more of an attacking approach to the last couple of games, and if we take the game to the Seagulls we might just have a chance to win.
It seems like Paul Merson doesn’t agree though…
Paul Merson makes Brighton vs West Ham prediction
The well-renowned football pundit writes a weekly prediction column for Sportskeeda.
And Merson delivered his verdict on the Brighton vs West Ham clash tomorrow:
“Brighton were very unlucky against Fulham last weekend. I don’t know how they lost that game. They were all over the Cottagers and had 21 shots and seven shots on target. Fulham mustered just two on target. It’s rather unfortunate that they didn’t even get a point out of that game. Brighton will need to aim for a Europa League spot as the Conference League would just be a drain on their time and resources next season. Meanwhile, West Ham United dominated Nottingham Forest and earned a big 4-0 win. But they will have their work cut out against the Seagulls this weekend.”
Prediction: Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 West Ham United
It’s hard to disagree with Merson, given our recent record against Brighton.
However, there have been definite improvements from the Hammers in recent weeks.
Should we sit back and try to nick the game late on against the Seagulls, we will inevitably lose the match. If Moyes sets his team up on the front foot tomorrow though, we could very well get a result.
I actually think that the Paul Merson prediction for the Brighton vs West Ham clash could end up being wrong. I reckon we could finally end our 11-year hoodoo against the Seagulls. I’m going 2-1 to the Hammers.
