Real Betis have made the first official move to sign West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals in the January transfer window.
Pablo Fornals has been absolutely dire for West Ham this season, so it’s no surprise that he’s being heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium, and we’re apparently prepared to sell him for just £4 million.
Hammers boss David Moyes has clearly lost trust in the Spaniard, 27, and it surely won’t be long before the midfielder is moved on.
Now Real Betis have made contact with West Ham about bringing him to Spain, according to Diario de Sevilla.
Ex-West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is a big fan of Fornals, and signed him for the Hammers during his stint in charge at the London Stadium.
Now the Chilean could be set to sign the former Villarreal man for the second time…

Betis are reportedly moving into position to sign the 27-year-old Hammers midfielder this winter.
Fornals has hardly featured for West Ham this season, with just 417 Premier League minutes to his name so far (Transfermarkt).
The Hammers have already triggered a 12-month extension in the Spaniard’s contract, so if we don’t sell him soon, we’ll probably end up releasing him on a free transfer.
However, it seems like West Ham might be set to get a nominal fee for Pablo Fornals, all thanks to Real Betis.
The Spaniard has been an absolute shadow of his former self over the past 12 months, so an exit from the Hammers in the January transfer window will be the best outcome for all parties involved.
And if the La Liga outfit even offer just £4 million for the Spaniard, I think selling him will be a no-brainer this month.
