A new high profile manager name has been linked with West Ham as a report makes a claim about top boss Roberto Mancini.

CalcioMercatoWeb are claiming that West Ham could move for Mancini as the Italy head coach would like to return to the Premier League.
The former Man City boss, who is said to want to join an ambitious project. But he would also expect a similar salary to former West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini of around £8m per season.
Caught Offside have also carried the claims and doubled down on reports that West Ham could part ways with Moyes in the summer no matter what happens.

The site highlights that ‘West Ham have a very talented squad and should be doing a lot better than they have this season’.
“Mancini could take the Hammers back to where Moyes had them in recent seasons but it will be down to the Italian as to whether he wants to leave Italy for the London Stadium in the near future,” the report states.
A move for Mancini may be welcomed by one West Ham star but perhaps not two others.
Emerson Palmieri is a regular in the Italy squad under Mancini and won the Euros with him.
But Hammers teammates Angelo Ogbonna and Gianluca Scamacca have been dropped by Mancini with the former ditched from the squad altogether in recent times.
In fact last summer furious West Ham star Ogbonna hit out at Mancini for leaving him out of the Italy setup.
