West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus has finally told David Moyes exactly what position he should be playing in.
Mohammed Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax in the summer, but David Moyes has eased him into action slowly, and the Scot didn’t give the 23-year-old his first Premier League start until yesterday.

He did start in the number 10 position for the Hammers yesterday, but every time he has played in Europe or when he’s come off the bench in the league, he has been deployed on the wing.
West Ham managing to sign Kudus in the summer was a major coup – he actually agreed to join Chelsea before his move to the London Stadium according to his agent.
We haven’t seen the best of the Ghana International yet though. That’s mostly because Moyes didn’t start him in the league up until yesterday, and he has only played 516 minutes in total for the Hammers (Transfermarkt).
However, it’s clear that Moyes doesn’t really know what the former Ajax ace’s best position is. So…where is Kudus at his best?

Mohammed Kudus makes honest admission after West Ham defeat to Everton
The Ghanaian spoke to reporters after the Hammers’ dismal defeat to Everton at the London Stadium yesterday.
And Kudus made it very clear where his best position is, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“I know about my abilities and I know what I can do. I believe a lot in myself so I’m just here, trying to settle in and take in as much information as I can. I want to input that into my game and do what I can for the team. The expectation in myself is there. Everyone expects from me because I know myself better than anybody else. I think my best position is as the No10, as the attacking midfielder, but as a team player, when I find myself on the right side then I just want to do my best for the team.”
The only problem with playing Kudus in the number 10 position is the fact that Lucas Paqueta will then be stuck out on the left wing.
It’s a conundrum that Moyes has to fix, but a really nice dilemma for the Scot to have in all fairness.
Maybe Jarrod Bowen could play as a central striker with Kudus and Paqueta both playing in behind him.
However, the onus would then be on Emerson and Vladimir Coufal to perform as proper wing-backs in order to compensate for the lack of width, and I’m not sure the latter is capable of doing so.
It will be really interesting to see how David Moyes uses West Ham star Mohammed Kudus over the next few months. Whatever happens, it is the Scot’s responsibility to get the best out of his big money signing, and whether he’s capable of doing that remains to be seen.
