West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen took a subtle swipe at Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus after our defeat to Aston Villa.
Jarrod Bowen might not have mentioned West Ham duo Lucas Paqueta or Mohammed Kudus by name, but by process of elimination, it’s very easy to read through the lines.

Bowen, 26, has been on fire this season for the Hammers, with six goals and two assists to his name already.

As a result of his fine form, he was included in Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad, and has already received huge praise from the likes of Jack Grealish for his performances.
The former Hull City star has come on leaps and bounds this season, and David Moyes recently admitted that he sees the winger converting into a central striker at some point in the future.
Bowen has clearly taken on more of a leadership role at the club this season as well, and has obviously been holding his teammates to account, regardless of how big their names are…
Jarrod Bowen makes extremely frank Paqueta and Kudus admission
The Hammers forward spoke to reporters after our 4-1 hammering at Villa Park on Sunday.
And Bowen responded when asked what frustrated him most about his team’s performance, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“The frustration was that we helped them a bit – we gave the ball away and they took full advantage. There were a few mistakes from us and at this level, against a side like this, they’ll punish you. We shot ourselves in the foot a bit and there were other aspects of the game we could have been better on too.”
The culprits for the two times that we gave the ball and Villa went on to score were Paqueta and Kudus, so it’s very clear who Bowen was talking about.
And I make him right, it was so, so sloppy from both players – the Brazilian especially.
If West Ham are to challenge towards the top of the Premier League this season, the players need to cut those kind of mistakes out of their games.
It was an unacceptable performance from the Hammers on Sunday, and Jarrod Bowen made it very clear that the likes of Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus have to buck up their ideas.
Both the Brazilian and the Ghanaian are world-class players in the making, and they can definitely become legends at West Ham. The Premier League takes no prisoners though, and they must learn quickly from their mistakes on Sunday.
