Michail Antonio has absolutely raved about one of his West Ham United teammates in particular.
West Ham striker Michail Antonio is current out injured but we haven’t really missed him, and he could be out for a little whole longer yet.
Funnily enough, Antonio’s injury has forced David Moyes into selecting a starting lineup, and more specifically a front three, that we as fans have been demanding to see for quite some time.
One of the reasons why the Hammers have excelled during the 33-year-old’s absence is the sheer volume of talented attacking players Moyes has at his disposal.
One of the standout attacking players for us this season has been Mohammed Kudus. The 23-year-old joined West Ham from Ajax in the summer transfer window for around £38 million, and Moyes has been hugely impressed with the forward’s committed performances recently.
Jarrod Bowen has been our best and most consistent player this season in my opinion, but the Ghana international isn’t too far behind him.
Kudus already has five goals to his name for West Ham this term, and he’ll undoubtedly continue to get better and better.
Antonio is clearly a big fan of the former Ajax man…

Michail Antonio raves about West Ham teammate
The 33-year-old Hammers forward has been speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, something that he has received huge criticism for from fans and pundits alike this season.
Antonio raved about Kudus, and suggested that he is the first name on the West Ham team-sheet:
“The guy is on fire. Literally. I heard when we were signing him how good he was and people were saying that if we got him he would be an unbelievable signing, that he should have possibly gone to a team that was higher than us. This was what everyone was saying to us. If we get him it’s an unbelievable signing. At the beginning of the season, he didn’t get much opportunity to play in the starting line-up. But now the guy has his shirt solidified. Probably number one on the team sheet. The guy is on fire and you can see the quality.”
That’s quite the claim from Mikey, with the likes of Jarrod Bowen, club captain Kurt Zouma, Brazilian magnifico Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez at the club.
Kudus is definitely one of the first names on Moyes’s team-sheet, but he definitely wouldn’t be the first one the Scot jots down in my opinion.
Michail Antonio offered huge words of praise for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus, and I agree with him – he’s a real talent.
I’m really looking forward to watching his continual progress and development in a West Ham shirt. However, I still think that Bowen is our best all-round player.
