Manchester City ace Riyad Mahrez has offered high words of praise for West Ham star Said Benrahma.

The Algerian Manchester City star has proven that he is a world-class player in the Premier League over the past few years.

And everyone involved with West Ham is hoping that Benrahma can emulate his countryman.

The 26-year-old has shown glimpses of his brilliance but we need to see him showcase his ability on a more consistent basis.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Mahrez has set the bar for Algerians in the Premier League.

The 30-year-old has bagged 47 goals and 39 assists in 160 games for Manchester City (Transfermarkt).

Meanwhile, Benrahma has bagged seven goals and 10 assists in 52 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt).

Mahrez began his career at the Etihad slowly, however, much like Benrahma did at the London Stadium under David Moyes.

Manchester City ace Riyad Mahrez impressed by ‘very good’ West Ham player

Benny will undoubtedly come good on a consistent basis for the Hammers.

As long as he continues to work hard and applies himself on and off the pitch, the Algeria international will be a vitally important player for West Ham over the next few years.

Mahrez told the Daily Mail how Benrahma has really impressed him:

“Said is doing very good. Last season he also played good but didn’t score the goals he expected. The performance was there however and this season he has had more starts. I am happy for him because he is a very good guy and I hope he keeps going.”

Let’s hope that Mahrez’s words give Benrahma an added boost of confidence.

The 26-year-old has not been good enough in our last few games. Hopefully he puts that right against Brighton on Wednesday night.

That’s of David Moyes gives him the chance to do so of course.

Benrahma will come good, as mentioned earlier. And if the 26-year-old can emulate his countryman Mahrez, he will be just fine.
