West Ham United ace Lucas Paqueta was omitted from the Brazil squad for their games against Uruguay and Venezuela over this past week.
Brazil manager Fernando Diniz apparently wants to include West Ham star Lucas Paqueta in his next squad for the international clashes with Colombia and Argentina.

After the 26-year-old was left out of Diniz’s most recent squad, a campaign has begun back in his homeland to get him selected in the next squad.

Paqueta has been in sensational form for the Hammers this season, but he has been ignored from the last two Brazilian squads due to an investigation into potential betting breaches.
Hopefully everything will get sorted out soon, and the ex-Lyon midfielder’s name is cleared. The thought of life without Paqueta for any prolonged period of time really is a concerning one.
Even the Brazil nation team are struggling without the midfield maestro…
Lucas Paqueta Brazil meeting set with November resolution mooted
Globo Esporte claim that Fernando Diniz is set for a meeting with the Brazilian Football Confederation about potentially including Paqueta in his next international squad.
This comes after Brazil lost to Uruguay and drew with Venezuela in their last two international outings.

The interim Brazil manager is clearly missing the West Ham star in his team, and after Neymar was ruled out for the long-term with an ACL injury, the Samba boys will be desperate to have Paqueta back.
What I will say is, what on earth ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? He has been found guilty of doing absolutely nothing yet, but has been banished from his national team squad.
Hopefully all of this gets resolved sooner rather than later, and we see Lucas Paqueta producing the goods for West Ham and back playing regularly for Brazil.
The outcome of the meeting between Diniz and the CBF next month will give us an indication of what’s happening with the Paqueta investigation. I would have thought that if he is re-selected for the Brazil squad, that might signal a positive end to all of this. Let’s hope so anyway.
