West Ham United ace Lucas Paqueta has been omitted from the last two Brazil international team squads.

Lucas Paqueta has been on fire for West Ham this season, but unfortunately for him he has been ignored by Brazil.

The main reason for that is the fact that the 26-year-old is currently under investigation for potential bettings breaches.

Recent reports suggested that Paqueta wouldn’t be back involved for his country until the betting investigation is complete (Evening Standard).

However, the Samba Boys have been really struggling recently, and lost to Uruguay and drew with Venezuela in their last two outings. It really is a crisis out in Brazil.

All is definitely not right with the South American nation’s football setup right now, that’s for sure.

They are clearly missing the Hammers midfielder, and it seems as though he could be back in the Brazil setup pretty soon…

Lucas Paqueta campaign starting in Brazil

According to Lance, a campaign is building for Brazil interim manager Fernando Diniz to recall West Ham star Lucas Paqueta to the national team squad.

He is under real pressure after their last two results to select Paqueta for their upcoming internationals against Colombia and Argentina in November.

The former Lyon ace has been in stunning form for West Ham this season, and seems to have moved up another level entirely from last term.

With superstar and national hero Neymar now out with a long-term injury, the Brazil national team squad are crying out for Lucas Paqueta to come back into the setup.

In a way, the fact that he’s not currently involved with Brazil is great news for the Hammers, as he should be nice and fresh as we head into the next batch of Premier League fixtures.

However, I reckon it will only be a matter of time before Paqueta is back involved for his country. He’s too good to ignore, regardless of the betting investigation rumbling on in the background.
