West Ham United head coach Julen Lopetegui is on the verge of overseeing a truly unbelievable summer transfer window.
The Hammers chief has already brought in Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham, and is believed to be closing in on deals for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Crysencio Summerville.
An apparent deal for Baris Alper Yilmaz is a possibility as well. West Ham quite clearly mean business this summer!
The thing is, there is still plenty more work to be done, and everyone involved with the club surely must know this.
Julen Lopetegui is seemingly intent on building something very special indeed at West Ham, and his ruthless approach to the summer transfer window is obvious for everyone to see.
If the Wan-Bissaka and Summerville deals get completed, all that remains will be for Lopetegui to bring in a striker, a centre-back and a box-to-box midfielder.
Niclas Fullkrug seems to be the man for the job up front, and now it seems like the West Ham head coach has the chance to secure a stunning deal for a central midfielder as well…

If all of the above deals go through as planned, the Hammers will already have a fearsome squad of players heading into the 2024/25 campaign.
Lopetegui’s remit is to get West Ham back inside the top six, and one more signing in addition to those above really could be the cherry on top of the cake.
Ladies and gentlemen, signing Youssouf Fofana is apparently a very real prospect for us once again.
It was claimed just four days ago that the Hammers had made a bid for the French midfield bulldozer, but he wanted to join AC Milan instead.
However, new information has now come to light.
Calcio Mercato suggest that Milan’s offer is nowhere near what Monaco want for the 25-year-old, and as a result, West Ham are still well in the running to sign him.
What an incredible addition he would be for the Hammers – I would go as far as to say that he would complete us as a team.
The 25-year-old has an enviable physique and is absolutely unplayable on his day. However, he’s not all about pace and power, far from it in fact.
The Frenchman is more than comfortable with the ball at his feet, and has been described as an ‘unreal’ midfielder by Monaco’s official website.
In 32 outings for Monaco last season, Fofana bagged four goals and four assists. During those appearances, he averaged 1.9 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and one clearance per game (Who Scored).
With his pace, power, energy, dynamism and athleticism, the Monaco midfielder would be the ideal addition to the Hammers’ midfield ranks this summer, and his skillset would compliment Edson Alvarez perfectly.
If Julen Lopetegui manages to bring Youssouf Fofana to West Ham this summer, we will have a team capable of finishing inside the top six, there is no doubt about that in my mind.
