West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen has been tipped to join Newcastle United to replace Miguel Almiron.

Jarrod Bowen has been in sensational form for West Ham this season, so it would be no surprise if Newcastle were indeed interested in signing him.

The 26-year-old Hammers star has bagged nine goals and three assists in all competitions so far this term, and he was linked with a move to St James’ Park only last month.

David Moyes and West Ham are in a huge position of strength regarding Bowen though – he recently signed a new seven-year deal to remain at the London Stadium – and the Scot explained that the club awarded him that deal because of his importance to us going forward.

Signed for just £20 million in January 2020 (BBC), the hard-working attacker has proven to be an exceptional addition by Moyes, with 49 goals and 34 assists in 174 games to his name (Transfermarkt).

He is really settled in East London, and recently fathered twins with his partner Dani Dyer – the daughter of famous West Ham fan Danny Dyer.

However, it seems as though Bowen is being hawked out to Newcastle by one member of the media in particular…

Jarrod Bowen tipped for Newcastle move

Darren Bent has told talkSPORT that the Hammers star should be on the Magpies’ radar as someone who could replace Miguel Almiron.

The 29-year-old joined Newcastle from MLS side Atlanta United in January 2019 for around £21 million (Sky Sports).

I personally believe he’s been doing great for them this season, but Bent thinks otherwise, and tipped Bowen or Michael Olise to replace the Paraguayan ace:

“I like Almiron, I think he’s done really well. He’s come back from when people were making a mockery of him. But there are better right wingers out there. Someone like an Olise, Palace. Perfect. I know he’s just signed a new contract, but who knows what’s going to happen at Palace at the end of the season. He’d be perfect, Bowen. And it would be the right step for him.”

Let’s get one thing straight, the 26-year-old will not be leaving West Ham to join Newcastle anytime soon. He is our talisman and is clearly very happy at the London Stadium, as mentioned earlier.

The only problem we will have is if super-rich Newcastle make a mammoth offer for Jarrod Bowen in the summer transfer window.

Even if they do that though, I believe he will be keen to stay with the Hammers, on the one condition that we prove to him we can match his ambitions by signing some top players.

As things stand, I don’t feel like we have to worry about Bowen potentially moving to Tyneside anytime soon.
