Hammers boss David Moyes hasn’t used Said Benrahma much this term, and the Algerian probably only has until the end of next month if he is to save his West Ham career, with the January transfer window just around the corner.

If we’re being honest, the 28-year-old has failed to live up to the hype that accompanied him when he moved to the London Stadium.

In fairness to him, the competition for places in the attacking positions at West Ham is incredibly fierce now. Moyes has assembled a fantastic squad of players.

But how far can we go in the Premier League?

Said Benrahma shares West Ham United’s Premier League ambitions

The Hammers winger has been speaking to the club’s official website about all things West Ham.

And Benrahma responded when asked what West Ham’s aim in the Premier League this season is:

We had a bit of a dip after that but we’re getting back to the best form. We’ve been working hard to get back up the league and we have a good team. We have a good team and I know we’ve got wins coming our way if we keep playing this way.”

“We’re aiming to finish in the top seven or even the top six. We have a team good enough to do that. We’re aiming for a high position in the league. We just need to work and focus and play football in our style.”

That’s a bold shout from Said, considering how many quality teams there are inside the top half of the Premier League table this season.

I think it would be an unbelievable achievement if Moyes can guide us to a seventh place finish this season, although I suspect we’ll end up somewhere between 8th and 10th.

Who knows though, Said Benrahma and his West Ham teammates might just prove me wrong come the end of the campaign.
