Italy boss Roberto Mancini has sent a clear message to David Moyes over the Gianluca Scamacca situation at West Ham.
Scamacca’s debut season with West Ham has not worked out for him or the club.
Many Hammers fans fear the club has another Sebastien Haller situation on their hands where Moyes cannot – or will not – use a different system in an effort to try and get the best out of the £35m striker.
Despite being available for the last few weeks, Scamacca has barely been used by Moyes.
The Italian has been an unused substitute in West Ham’s last four Premier League games including the 1-1 draw at home with Aston Villa on Sunday.

A picture emerged after the game showing Scamcca sat on the floor and looking disconsolate. And it sparked an angry reaction from supporters towards Moyes with the hashtag #FreeScamacca trending on Twitter for a time.
Unverified gossip has suggested Scamacca has had a fallout with Moyes behind the scenes.
And the Scot has done little to dismiss that talk, with his pre and post Villa comments suggesting he has not been impressed with the 24-year-old in training or his “output”.
Scamacca is highly rated in Italy and by the Azzurri boss is a big fan of the 6ft 5in striker.
Scamacca revealed Mancini gave his blessing for a move to West Ham and the Premier League saying it would help improve the striker and make him a top player.
Now he has very much changed his tune given the goings-on at the London Stadium.
Italy boss Mancini has sent a clear message to Moyes over the Scamacca situation at West Ham.
The former Man City manager has vented his frustration over Scamacca’s lack of game time.

And he has told Moyes that he cannot expect Scamacca to improve if he doesn’t play him.
“I hope those who are not playing much now be involved more…” Mancini told DAZN regarding the likes of Scamacca ahead of naming his latest Italy squad.
“Scamacca is coming from an injury and doesn’t play much either. The lads can improve only if they play.
“Scamacca, Raspadori, Gnonto, Zaniolo… we don’t have many options…
Young players are always important, but it’s up to them. They can improve quickly and become important players. This applies to Nicolo (Zaniolo) and other players in the same situation.”
Back in September Mancini was asked about Scamacca’s lack of game time at West Ham and he said it was giving Italy a problem.
