David Moyes has a plan in place to promote Jamal Baptiste to the West Ham first-team according to a report from club insiders Claret and Hugh.

The 18-year-old is a quite outstanding talent and is really highly rated at the London Stadium.

Claret and Hugh claims that Moyes views Baptiste as a ‘very serious prospect’.

And it’s little wonder why.

The East London born teenager has been truly brilliant for West Ham’s youth teams over the past couple of years.

The young Hammer has an incredibly exciting future in the game and it seems as though he’s just about ready to take the next step up the ladder.

Claret and Hugh reckon that the Scot believes that the 18-year-old is ready to take the step up to the next level and sees him as next in line behind Craig Dawson and Issa Diop.

The West Ham youngster is incredibly cool and composed in possession.

He has an incredibly laid back demeanour and his playing style belies his tender years.

The teenager’s concentration levels for a young player really are second to none. His positional sense is superb too.

Baptiste does have good recovery pace as well, not that he needs to use it too often!

West Ham’s star-boy certainly has the lot.

As long as we’re patient with him as a fanbase, he will undoubtedly reach the very top.
