The 22-year-old was made a Director on the Hammers board yesterday, as confirmed here via Companies House.

Jack Sullivan had previously been the Managing Director of the West Ham ladies team.

And before that, it was rumoured that he was an advisor to his father David regarding potential signings.

Recently, it was believed that he was in the running for the Head of Recruitment role but Rob Newman was eventually handed that job.

It seems as though Sully has finally found a role for his youngest son, however.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan hands son big promotion

Jack, 22, is now a Director at the London Stadium. The move was confirmed yesterday afternoon.

At first glance, the Hammers fans may be concerned about that. Is he being lined up to step in from his father when the time comes?

Actually, we believe that it is the complete opposite.

Daniel Kretinsky acquired a 27% stake in West Ham United last week.

And we believe that it is only a matter of time before the Czech billionaire makes a move to take total control of the Hammers.

Jack Sullivan being appointed as a director of West Ham could be a way of avoiding capital gains tax when Sullivan senior sells up in 2023.

Sullivan junior, now that he is a director, will be gifted shares, and that way he will avoid paying tax on them. Or he will at least pay a lot less tax than he otherwise would have.

It seems to us that this is all part of the exit strategy.

With David Moyes and his players working wonders on the pitch and Daniel Kretinsky primed to takeover the club in a couple of years, things are looking bright for West Ham.
