Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth has provided an update on the future of David Moyes at West Ham.

David Moyes took charge of West Ham United for the second time back in December 2019 and after keeping us up he guided us to back-to-back top seven Premier League finishes.

However, the Scot has endured a nightmarish domestic campaign, with our fine form in Europe probably the only thing keeping him in the West Ham job at the London Stadium at the moment.

And Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth is the latest reporter to give verdict on Moyes’s current situation with the Hammers.

Shock claims emerged last night that Moyes has lost the trust of the players and his staff at West Ham.

However, it seems as though Moyes is STILL safe in his job…

Dharmesh Sheth provides David Moyes West Ham update

The Sky Sports journalist has been speaking to Give Me Sport that the Scot is still in a position of strength when it comes to the board’s feelings.

Sheth said:

“I don’t think it’s ever too late to make a change if you think that’s the right way to go. But I genuinely don’t think it’s in the board’s mind or has been in the board’s mind to sack David Moyes. I still believe they have faith in David Moyes. Moyes has had a difficult season. He’s the first to admit that.”

Quite how Moyes has managed to avoid the sack over the past few months is truly mind-boggling.

However, the fact that Sheth says that ‘it’s never too late’ gives me some hope.

Don’t get me wrong, I obviously want West Ham to start winning games under David Moyes. If that does happen though, and we stay up, we absolutely have to part ways with the 59-year-old in the summer.

The Scot has proven over the past few months that he is incapable of changing and that stubbornness could very well take us down to the Championship.
