Jarrod Bowen has absolutely raved about one of his West Ham United teammates after last night’s win over Freiburg in the Europe League.
West Ham took total control of Europa League Group A with a 2-1 win against Bundesliga outfit Freiburg last night and once again, Jarrod Bowen had a key role to play for us.

Hammers boss David Moyes would have been absolutely delighted with the performance of his team during what was a really tough game with a hostile atmosphere.
There were plenty of impressive performances from the West Ham players on the night – Bowen was one of them himself, but he wanted praise handed out elsewhere after the match.
The Hammers forward lauded one of his teammates for his dominant display against the Germans – Lucas Paqueta, and highlighted just how much he enjoys playing with the talented South American star…
Jarrod Bowen blown away by West Ham teammate after Freiburg win
The 26-year-old Hammers forward has been in exceptional form so far this season. He has bagged five goals and two assists already this season, with one of those coming last night out in Germany.
He crossed into the box for Paqueta to head home and after the game, Bowen shared just how much he loves playing with the Brazilian magnifico, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“The first goal was nice. It was something we’ve worked on, with myself playing as the No9. I saw the space in behind and I got in behind, and it was about finding someone with the cross. And what a leap from Lucas Paquetá! It was a great header to put us in the lead and it was nice to see something we’ve worked on pay off. Lucas gets better with every game we play in and you never know what he’s going to do with the ball. He’s got so much about him, with so much flair and control. But the one main thing when playing for this Club is the hard work. And you can see he’s always running around, wanting to win the ball back and take the tackles from the opposition. He takes the pressure off us and, when we need a focal point, we know we can rely on him. He’s getting better in every game and I love playing with him.”
Paqueta really does have absolutely everything, and it seems like he is the complete package – what a signing he has proven to be for the club.
The 26-year-old took his time to settle at the London Stadium but now it’s clear to see that we have a genuine star on our hands.
The Brazilian has two goals and one assist in nine games to his name so far this season (Transfermarkt), but his game is so much more than goal contributions.
Lucas Paqueta offers a real outlet for our defenders when they’re under the cosh what with his amazing strength and incredible ability to shield the ball.
Jarrod Bowen worked excellently well with the former Lyon man against Freiburg in the Europa League last night, and the relationship between the two players is something that will hopefully flourish as the season goes on.
