One West Ham United player has spoken out about his ever improving relationship with David Moyes.
West Ham manager David Moyes made a whole host of top-class signings in the summer transfer window.
One of his new additions was Edson Alvarez – a player Hammers boss Moyes brought to the London Stadium for around £34 million.
The 26-year-old has proven to be an absolutely sensational addition to Moyes’s ranks, and has more than made up for the absence of Declan Rice, after his exit to Arsenal in the summer.
Alvarez is an absolute warrior, and he is perfectly suited to the Premier League, what with his physicality and tenacious tackling.
The Mexican has been improving with every week that passes, and that may well be due to his blossoming relationship with Moyes…
West Ham star says his relationship with David Moyes is getting better
Alvarez has been speaking about life at the London Stadium under Moyes.
And the Mexico international admitted that his relationship with the Scot is improving with every week that passes, as quoted by Medio Tempo:
“The relationship with (Moyes) is growing day by day, the trust he has in me and that we have created is increasing. With my performances on the pitch I think I give him enough weapons to continue doing it and the relationship is going well.”
That really is great to hear. There have been plenty of disparaging stories about Moyes’s relationships with his players over the past few years.
The thing is, every player that speaks about Moyes offers a glowing assessment of the Scot. And Alvarez is the latest player to do just that.
Lucas Paqueta is another player who has raved about Moyes, and actually referred to the Hammers boss as a ‘father figure’ (Evening Standard).
West Ham boss David Moyes is obviously a better man-manager than people give him credit for.
