Rodney Marsh has come out firing on Twitter and labelled the West Ham United fans as a ‘disgrace’.
West Ham lost 5-1 to Newcastle on Wednesday night, and there was a mass exodus from the home fans with around 10 minutes still to be played – something that Rodney Marsh has criticised us for.

The Hammers fans are the best in the business in my opinion. Of course I am going to be biased but the proof is in the pudding.

What other club sells out their home ground and away allocations in the Championship? There aren’t many, if any.
We are as loyal as they come and all we expect is our players to give 100%. We haven’t seen our club win a trophy since 1980 – a 43 year wait. What other club’s fans would accept that kind of barren run?
I would suggest again…not many, if any at all.
Some pundits and rival fans just seem to forget all of that when criticising us though…
Rodney Marsh lays into West Ham fans
The ex-footballer took to Twitter after our 5-1 defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday night and didn’t hold back with his verdict on the Hammers fans:
Now, I agree that the fans should support the players but sometimes, a stand needs to be made.
The board need to realise that we are not happy with David Moyes – the Scot is ruining this club from top to bottom.
Rodney Marsh is free to voice his opinion on the West Ham fans, of course he is. However, free speech does not come without consequence, and you should always be prepared to be challenged.
Marsh has unfairly slaughtered us in my opinion. People seem to forget just how loyal we are and how long we have suffered as a fanbase.
There aren’t any better in my view.
